- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- Frosting of your choice
- Spring-themed sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs, then vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
- Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Let cool in pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Frost cupcakes and decorate with spring sprinkles.
